riley

I met this cool dog today. Mom said his name is Riley. He lives where Sandy, the German Shepherd Dog used to live. He was in his yard, and I went up there to greet him, and he was wicked cool. He didn't bark or anything. He looked at me, and was very confident. He wagged his tail, and his ears were forward, and I think he was smiling. He's very friendly. I play-bowed to him, and we ran around in the snow for a while. It was fun! I wanna see Riley again!

like being in a dog show

Mom took me and Hobie for a walk tonight. She used these new leashes on us I'd never seen before. She said they're called kennel leads, and they remind me of the ones the lady loops over my head when we stay at the kennel on vacation. They're the kind that they use in dog shows. Kind of restrictive, but I guess Mom is using them to keep us under better control. She is the pack leader, after all.

I heard something rustling in the leaves, and I started to do my hound thing where I get all excited and want to go find the animal and tell Mom and Hobie "I found it!" I guess Mom wasn't too into that, because she turned around and brought us home, and told me to pick up my toy that I'd left sitting on the ground in front of the neighbor's house.

Mom bought us two new toys, just like the one in my profile photo, to replace the old ones that we had destroyed after a few years. I am so happy about the toys. I love those toys. I love my Mom.

hector the hounddog

A-wooooo! My name is Hector. I'm 5 years old, and was born a week before "9/11" on September 4, 2001. My family adopted me right after 9/11, and they visited me at the farm where I was born every week until I was ready to go home with them. Sometimes they still see my mama, Oreo, but I haven't seen her since I left in 2001

Here are some photos of me when I was a little puppy:
